BAM at the 2017 BILD Awards

Once again, our team had a great time at this year’s annual BILD Awards in late April. The awards – now in their 37th year running! – celebrate excellence in the GTA’s new homes industry, from sales and marketing to design and construction. Our team always enjoys taking an evening to celebrate our accomplishments and to see some of the cool innovations going on in the industry. It’s also a great night to connect with our fellow marketers, builders and developers. It’s always rewarding to be recognized and to take home an award or two, too!

This year, we were honoured and excited to be nominated for several awards:
• Best New Community (Built) – Nuvo, Highmark Homes
• Best Digital Marketing Campaign (Low-Rise) – Triumph, Highmark Homes
• Best Semi/Townhome Design (Large) – The Touch, Triumph, Highmark Homes
• People’s Choice Award – Triumph, Highmark Homes
• Best Rendering (Low-Rise) – Charing Cross, Lancaster Homes

Part of the digital marketing campaign for Highmark Homes’ Triumph in Whitby community.

(You can see all of the 2017 finalists here and all the winners listed here.)

We were proud to join our client Highmark Homes on stage to accept the award for Best Semi/Townhome Design for one of their stylish, modern townhomes at Triumph in Whitby. This has been an extremely successful community – its latest phase is fully sold out – that we worked on developing and marketing with Highmark Homes and architect Hunt Design Associates over the past few years. It brought an innovative new product to the typically traditional and family-oriented Whitby market.

Helping our clients succeed is what we do best at BAM. When they win, we win. We’re proud and grateful for another year of amazing clients and communities. Until next year!

Supporting BILD

Here at BAM, we’re big on helping builders to be the best they can be; from green design within their communities and homes, encouraging better building practices, and – overall – just providing better products and service to their customers. In the end, helping them to put their best foot forward is a great thing for everyone, right down to the family who is purchasing their first brand-new home. It’s this same desire that drives BILD, which is an essential lifeblood of our industry. A product of the merger between the Greater Toronto Home Builders’ Association and the Urban Development Institute of Ontario, BILD is the voice of the land development, home building, and professional renovation industry in the GTA. Currently, it represents more than 1,400 member companies.

They provide a necessary link between the industry and governments, helping to promote both fair and effective policies. They also encourage innovations and excellence in the planning and building of sustainable communities – all while simultaneously protecting the best interests of homebuyers. Through home shows, their print publication, members-only workshops, courses, and seminars, they keep us abreast of everything that affects us. As well, through the sponsorship of university courses in planning, and their work with community colleges and unions to promote building trades as a career choice, they are strengthening our industry for years to come.

They are the backbone of the building industry here in the GTA, and we strongly support them as an active member. It was an honour for us to design their most recent advertisement, at no-cost to BILD, which celebrates the 64 BILD Award winners this year, and the amazing things they’re doing; from innovation in sustainability to affordable home design. It was our way of showing gratitude for everything they’ve done for our homebuilding community.

BAM at The BILD Awards

Untitled.pngLast week, the BAM team was dressed to the nines and in attendance at the 36th annual BILD Awards, which recognizes excellence in sales, marketing, design and construction of new homes in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA). As we had previously written, we were excited – and honoured – to be nominated for Best Digital Marketing Campaign — for three of our most exciting projects to date, in addition to Best Sales Video and Best New Community, Planned or Under Development for Queensville.

We were ecstatic to join our clients Zancor Homes and Lancaster Homes on stage to accept the Best Digital Marketing Campaign award for Pine River, which was one of our most ambitious digital projects to date. In fact, if you haven’t explored the website – complete with online reservation system – you can learn more about it here. We were also excited to join builders Countrywide Homes, Aspen Ridge Homes, and Lakeview Homes, on stage to accept the award for Best New Community, Planned (for Queensville). Queensville is the largest and most ambitious new project in Ontario, and we couldn’t be happier with what we’ve achieved there. Especially since the project recently sold out its first phase.

The results we’ve helped our clients achieve over the past year is something we’re very proud of. We’re lucky – and grateful – that they see our vision, trust, and allow us to take the risks we do. These awards are just icing on the cake. They’re truly a result of the hard work the entire BAM team has put into these massive projects.

BILD Award Nominations

Last week, nominations were finally announced for the 2016 BILD Awards, which recognizes excellence in sales, marketing, design and construction of new homes in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA). This year, we’re excited to be three of the four projects nominated for Best Digital Marketing Campaign — for three of our most exciting projects to date. First there’s Queensville, a multi-phase, 6000 home project in East Gwillimbury. Secondly, there’s Lakebreeze, a large scale, waterfront community that is going to transform the town of Bowmanville. Lastly, there’s Pine River, a multi-builder project located in Angus. Additionally, we were nominated for Best Sales Video for Queensville.

Over the past year, BAM has put a strong focus on digital innovation, especially as it applies to our marketing campaigns. We’ve employed creative Facebook advertising, cutting edge SEM techniques, and industry leading websites. We’ve offered clients advanced functionality such as web/email personalization, Interactive site tables, backend CRM integration, online preview appointment booking, and – in the case of Pine River – the ability to actually reserve your home design and lot right on the website. We’ve been changing the way our clients generate registrants and, as a result, make sales. The results we’ve helped our clients achieve this year is something we’re incredibly proud of, but these nominations have us over the moon. They’re truly a result of the hard work the entire BAM team has put into these massive projects.

We look forward to seeing all of our clients and friends at the awards this April and hopefully walking across the stage with them as we celebrate everything we’ve been able to achieve.

BILD Award Submission Season Is Upon Us

Untitled.png

I’ve said this before, but as good as winning feels, it’s also great to share our successes with others. The BILD awards is an annual opportunity for players within the GTA building and development industry to be recognized alongside their peers and awarded for their excellence in various categories such as Home Builder of the Year. The winners are announced at an exclusive gala with nearly 1,000 of the GTA’s biggest builders, designers, renovators, and sales and marketing professionals under one roof – If you’re in our industry, it’s the place to be. Here at BAM, we’ve started to map out our submissions for the upcoming BILD Awards – and man, are we ever excited!

We’re especially thrilled because this year BILD has made some changes to their awards, including the addition of Excellence In Marketing, and Innovation In Marketing awards, amongst a host of others. There is also a revamped Best Digital Campaign award, which encompassing the full scope of digital projects from design to results. If you’ve been following any of our clients over the past year, you’ve probably noticed the strong focus we’ve been placing on digital innovation – everything from interactive site tables to personalized website experiences. So, as you can imagine, we’re looking forward to showing off the fruits of our labour.

It’s always an honour to stand behind our clients at the BILD awards, and 2016 will be no different. Hopefully, we’ll be sharing the stage with them next April.
