eBAM Looking for an Intern

Being firm believers in online marketing, we’ve recently hired more staff for our eBAM department. We’re busy enough, however, to need yet another extra pair of hands. That’s where our new Social Media and Marketing Intern comes in.  It’s also nice to help a young, ambitious, hardworking student or recent grad get their feet wet in the world of online marketing. So if you know a good candidate, please let me know or send an email our Social Media Manager Alain Latour at alain@callbam.net.

BAM’s Latest Project Coming to Fruition Soon

We’re having a baby.

Well, not really. But that’s the way we feel every time we launch a new community. And soon we’ll launch Victory, a new home community by Empire Communities which I blogged about a few weeks ago.

One of the most exciting things about Victory is the Live Your Style Facebook poll we ran until September 30th. We asked people to vote on a selection of features and finishes, which they did — after the poll closed with hundreds of votes, fans had chosen, not surprisingly, the most modern choices, including laminate flooring, frameless glass showers, 12” X 24” tiles, straight-cut pickets and rails, and much more.

As I’ve long argued, Ontario homebuyers are shopping for homes that are a little fresher, a little more innovative. After all, it’s no secret that most homes in the province look almost alike. The trick is to come up with a design that isn’t radical to the point of throwing people off. It’s a fine balance, and I’m pleased to say, I think we’ve struck that balance with Victory.

Find out more about the community on its website and check out its Facebook page and blog.

Do you think Ontario homebuyers are ready for fresh features and finishes? Do you think there’s a market for innovative design in the low-rise industry?

An Extraordinary Community Opening Tomorrow by Preview Appointment

These are exciting times at BAM.

Just tomorrow we’re opening Treetops by preview appointment. We’re very excited to reach this stage with any community, but Treetops in particular is the freshest, most innovative site in all of Ontario.

Mind you, with over 20,000 homes marketed and 33 years of experience, I do not — cannot— take these words lightly.

Having already written about Treetops here and here, I can only say this community will make it possible for outdoor- and nature-loving families to lead the lifestyle that no other community in the province will allow. I do wish I’d been able to buy a home in a Treetops-like community when I was younger.

What project are you passionate about these days? I’d love to hear about it!

BAM to Launch a Fantastic Community by VanMar Constructors

Last week I blogged about two of our upcoming releases. Today I’d like to talk about VanMar Homes, a client of ours who is also releasing a new community soon.

VanMar is a medium-sized construction company specializing in residential, commercial, and institutional construction. Hailing from BC, it has a solid and illustrious reputation, the kind that only comes after excelling in all types of projects, including a courthouse, a student residence, over 600 units of high-quality multi-family homes, and over 2,000 non-market housing units.

BAM is launching VanMar’s Credit Ridge Estates next month.

After VanMar decided to come to Ontario, it did some shopping around and finally decided to hire BAM. I was honoured — after all, VanMar is the kind of client anyone should be thrilled to have.

Having taken a look at VanMar’s award-studded trajectory and worked closely with its management, I believe the reasons behind its success are its flawless execution and excellent quality control.

The community we’ll soon be launching for VanMar is called Credit Ridge Estates, located in Brampton and featuring estate homes on 50 to 70-ft lots priced from $884,990. I am positive this will too be a success — one of VanMar’s many.

BAM to Launch Two Fantastic Communities Soon

Last night at 9 pm, four of our team members were still working in the office.

It’s a busy time for us and we couldn’t be happier. Not just because we have a lot of work — which is always something to be thankful for. We’re happy because we’ll soon launch two extraordinary communities.

The first one, Treetops, will open by preview appointment only in a matter of weeks. Treetop is an exciting community, very dear to my heart. Once it’s finished, it will count 1,800 homes close to Alliston, built by Orchard Ridge Homes and Brookfield Homes, who’s also a client of ours. They’re both excellent builders and I couldn’t be happier to see them involved.

On any given day, golf will be one of many things to do at Treetops, thanks to its green areas and proximity to the Nottawasaga Resort.

Treetops will be an excellent community for active families.

One of the reasons why I’m so excited about Treetops is that its homes will lay on a natural wonderland, surrounded by over 45 acres of park and forest and sitting just next door to the Nottawasaga Resort. We’ve helped to design a community with fitness stations found along the trails, and a great community park that’ll offer beach volleyball, a sports field, a splash pad, and much, much more.

Treetops will be a fantastic community, especially for active families that like to spend time outdoors. I for one would’ve loved to raise my kids there. Check out its website, its blog, and its Facebook page (where we’re incentivizing registrations with a sweepstake called Register and Win).

Mystique’s homes will be certain to impress those who appreciate fine details and beautiful architecture.

We’re also launching Double Oak’s Mystique community. Located in Georgetown, Mystique will wow registrants too, although for different reasons than Treetops. If you follow Double Oak’s work, you know it’s focused on crafting luxurious homes with incredible attention to detail (suffice it to say that founder Kieran Keaveney is an architecture school graduate and a connoisseur of diverse Architectural schools).

Mystique will feature French Country-inspired two-storey and bungalow estate homes, which were designed by Hicks Partners of Oakville and include kitchens by Scavolini. Prices will start from the mid $700’s to $1.3 million.

How busy are you these days? Are you working on any exciting stuff?
