I will never grow tired of hearing about our clients being nominated for awards. Not only does it mean we’ve gone after the right clients, it means we’ve done our job marketing them.

Last week, two of our biggest clients, Empire Communities and Brookfield Residential, were each nominated for EnerQuality’s ENERGY STAR for New Homes Builder of the Year award. Empire is also nominated for the Building Innovation award and the Ontario Green Builder of the Year award. I want to take this opportunity to say congratulations.

More and more, our industry is becoming greener and more environmentally conscious about building homes. Not only is this great for the environment, but homeowners benefit by living in energy efficient homes that produce higher energy savings, better air quality and fewer emissions. This message is easy for BAM to stand behind.

We’re thrilled to be a part of our clients’ success in marketing green and building a reputation for designing sustainable homes for their homeowners. While we share their vision and message, it really is the builders standing behind their commitment to advancing homebuilding and for that, they’re being recognized. Congratulations again. BAM is proud to be part of your continuing success.

Our Clients Empire Communities and Brookfield Residential are Finalists for 5 CHBA Awards!

I’m proud to announce that our clients Empire Communities and Brookfield Residential are finalists for 5 Canadian Home Builders’ Association (CHBA) National SAM awards this year.

Empire Communities is nominated for the highly coveted Green Home Award for their Manhattan model at Imagine, a new home community in Niagara Falls which we opened for Empire this year, and which is also up for Best Project Signage and Logo.

The Manhattan home showcases Empire Communities’ latest green initiative: geothermal technology! Geothermal energy can save homeowners up to 80 per cent in total heating and cooling costs over traditional home energy costs, and is offered as an option on all new homes at Empire’s Imagine community as part of a progressive new green initiative on their part.

Both clients are familiar with winning; Brookfield won the Marketing Excellence Award from CHBA last year for their Pathways in Caledon East community which we marketed, and Empire won the ENERGY STAR for New Homes Builder of the Year at the EnerQuality Awards in 2011 and was again nominated in 2012, demonstrating that they’re industry leaders when it comes to green home building.

I always enjoy these types of posts and seeing my clients and employees recognized for their success and hard work. Each time a client of ours is nominated, it’s a testament to the great things we do at BAM and to our clients’ hard work and dedication to building and providing Ontario families the best homes possible.

Congratulations again to Brookfield Residential and Empire Communities. (You can see all the finalists here.)

Go BAM go!

Empire’s New Green Signature: ECO2

One of Ontario’s leading green builders now has a new green signature that team BAM has designed: introducing Empire’s ECO2 . Purchasers can now spot the logo to be reminded of Empire’s many new green options. Every single Empire homeowner can expect an ECO2 home well above ENERGY STAR standards with also the opportunity to upgrade with the new ECOnomical and ECOlogical packages. The packages are exciting for purchasers as there are many options that are not typically available to homeowners such as solar panels that you can use to sell energy back to the grid and get paid. We found that ECO2 was the perfect brand to effectively communicate the ECOlogical and ECOnomical benefits from an award-winning green builder.

To reach the final brand, our team went through a thorough marketing process that included idea, strategy, and artwork. The strategy behind ECO2 was to differentiate Empire from other builders on the sustainability front. Purchasers, more than ever strive to live healthily as much as saving money. By designing a green brand that was as simple, purchasers can be more well-informed in choosing their packages.

You can read more about ECO2 here.
